We start with defining your goals, budget, and space needs. Next comes architectural design and permit submission. Construction follows upon permit approval, ending with inspections and move-in.
- Determine Goals: We identify what space you need, how it will be used, and provide an initial estimate. This is where priorities, non-negotiables, and future planning are defined.
- Create Design & Plan Set: Our architectural team will create plans that comply with your home’s zoning rules and lot constraints. Layouts, structural needs, and a clear budget are refined here. After we have a finalized  plan set, we submit to the city for permit approval.
- Watch the Magic Happen: Work begins with site prep and, if needed, foundation. Next comes rough-in which includes: framing, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Insulation, & Drywall. We finish with exterior & interior finishes. Regular inspections happen throughout the process.Â
- Final Inspections & Move-In: The project is inspected for the final time and the space is approved for use. Following approval, we do the final cleaning and you move in.

What is the cost of a home addition?
Costs will vary depending on the size of the addition and the type of space being added. Spaces like bathrooms or a kitchen will drive the cost up.
What will the payment schedule look like?
We’ve created a payment process that minimizes risk for our clients. We only collect a 5% deposit upon agreeing to work together. After that, we bill our clients bi-weekly for work that has already been finished. You’ll never pay ahead for any work that’s not done.
How long will my home addition project take?
The timeline is dependent on the scope of work; A clear schedule will be provided once your project is quoted.
Will I need permits for my project?
In most cases, you will need a building permit along with rough-in inspections along the way. One exception is if your addition is less than 200 sqft and does not include a kitchen or bathrooms.
How do you handle change orders or unexpected issues?
Home additions are big and complex projects, and often times unforeseen circumstances arise. Our team’s approach has been changing industry standards. We display full transparency and offer multiple options for solutions. We work with you to come to your best outcome efficiently and quickly. We refuse to let unexpected issues affect our schedule and timelines.Â
Can I live in my home during construction?
We do not require our clients to move out during construction. We are flexible and can work with you for the best solution. Needless to say, some clients prefer to move out which gives us more freedom to work without disrupting your everyday life with noise and working longer hours.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes! We stand behind our work with a two-year workmanship warranty. This covers the quality of our installation and craftsmanship, giving you peace of mind long after your project is complete. Manufacturer warranties on materials apply separately.
