The Spa Bathroom Retreat

Both bathrooms in this home shared the same problem: tubs and showers boxed in by walls that made every inch feel smaller. We opened them up. In the primary bath, we tiled the entire wall beside the shower — a simple move that makes the whole room feel dramatically larger — patched and stained the wood ceiling to a seamless match, and installed a double-sink vanity that ties in the same warm wood tones. In the guest bath, we ran new plumbing for a freestanding tub, then layered in multi-toned wall tile, tiled floors, matching stained ceiling panels, and gold-framed glass. Two modest bathrooms that now feel like a retreat.
