The Kids’ Bathroom Makeover

This builder-grade bathroom was so plain the kids refused to use it — they’d walk down the hall to mom’s bathroom instead. We gutted it: out went the linoleum, the prefab tub surround, the toilet, and the vanity. In their place, we built a warm, welcoming space the kids actually love — a new tub with green vertical tile, a warm-wood vanity with two sinks, arched mirrors that soften the room, and gold hardware and sconces that tie it all together. Sometimes the smallest room makes the biggest difference in a family’s day.
